Instant Asset Write-Off

Under instant asset write-off eligible businesses can:

COVID-19 Business Support Grants

Your business may be eligible for financial support through the 2021 COVID-19 Business Support Grants. $5,000 grants will be made available to small and medium businesses across Queensland affected by the COVID-19 lockdown that commenced on Saturday 31 July 2021 and lockdowns in other states. Grants are also available for large businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector operating in the 11 local government areas in the lockdown, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Small and medium businesses are defined as having; a turnover of more than $75,000 per annum, an annual payroll in Queensland of up to $10 million.

Local government areas subject to lockdown restrictions are; Brisbane City Council, Gold Coast City Council, Ipswich City Council, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Logan City Council, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Noosa Shire Council, Redland City Council, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Somerset Regional Council, Sunshine Coast Regional Council.

COVID-19 Disaster Payments (Queensland)

This is a lump-sum payment for people who lost work and income due to a Queensland COVID-19 public health order. The type of payment you may be able to get depends on if you get an eligible Centrelink payment or not.

If you already receive a Centrelink you may be eligible to receive an additional $200 each week.

If you do not already receive a Centrelink you may be eligible to receive an additional $450 to $750 each week, depending on the amount of work you lost during that week due to COVID restrictions.

Pandemic Leave Disaster Payments (Queensland)

The Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment is for people living in Queensland who can’t earn an income because they must self-isolate, quarantine or care for someone who has COVID-19.
